The 2022 Macabre Faire Film Festival is proud to present this year’s Official Selections, screening Sept. 29 - Oct. 2 at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon TN!

Congratulations to all of the filmmakers and their teams who put their hearts and passion into creating such wonderful films for attendees to enjoy. It is our pleasure to have a venue such as the Capitol to show off your work.

We also wanted to thank and mention that those films that were not selected also put in great work and had exceptional films to show for their efforts too. However, we simply cannot select and show every film submitted and the judging task is not an easy one.

The film follows “The Professor”, a man suffering from a terminal disease, who by a twist of fate, witnesses an incredible event involving his mysterious neighbor Agatha. Alchemy Of The Spirit
The Great American artist, Oliver Black wakes to discover his wife, Evelyn has died in their bed overnight. Brimming with magical realism, we enter a world in which the misconceptions of our belief in a solid reality are revealed.
Bitter Taste of Ginger
Ginger, a recent widow, takes up autoerotic asphyxiation to work up the nerve to kill her abusive mother-in-law, Ginny.
CRAM
We all do what we gotta do to pass – except Marc. Desperate to somehow finish his final final paper, he struggles to cram all night in the library. But the library has other plans for him....
Higher Methods
Higher Methods is the story of Matthew, an actor whose sister went missing years prior. One day he’s at the movies and sees his sister as an extra who hasn’t aged a day. He embarks on a quest to find out what happens to her. He spirals down a rabbit hole into the dark, cultish world of drug addicts, freaks, the black sheep, the wannabe actors led by a menacing and intellectual acting mentor.

In 2013 Sean Miller disappeared for four days. 7 years later a group of documentary filmmakers found out why.
Living With Ghosts
This film follows three stricken widows on their search for relief, culminating in a controversial study at the University of North Texas. There, scientists are working to reduce acute grief symptoms by facilitating sensory "reconnections" between survivor and deceased — the first publicly-funded research of its kind.
Malibu Horror Story
Terror strikes when a team of paranormal investigators search a sacred Native American cave for clues in the unsolved disappearance of four local teens.
My Inner Demon: A Geraldson Tale
Despite a bitter depression over the poor reception of his debut film, “Murder Box”, in September of 2020, filmmaker/comedian Gerald Varga, aka "Gerry Geraldson", began work on a new creative endeavor.
ReSet
Danielle is your average college student getting ready to graduate. At a party she seems to become drunk, passes out and wakes up in the spare bedroom of a man named Edgar. Edgar seems nice but it soon becomes clear that his intentions are anything but benevolent. As she desperately tries to escape she finds that an heirloom may give her an unexpected advantage.

A zombie family, genetically modified by a mad scientist, gets out from a clandestine laboratory. In spite of mercenaries going after them, they’re about to spread chaos.

#Nofilter addresses the ever-growing issue surrounding Body Dysmorphic Disorder through the eyes of Beth, an insecure twenty-something, who becomes obsessed with an insidious filter, leaving her to question true beauty. It is a cautionary tale for all those obsessed by "likes," being flawless, and thinking that somehow social media is the magical cure-all for happiness. Film stars Kelly Lamor Wilson and Misha Osherovich from Blumhouse's "Freaky."
